　　历时两年摄制的纪录片《新丝绸之路》已于2005年10月完成，将于2006年3月10日在CCTV－1黄金时间播出。该片被视为代表了目前国内纪录片制作的最高水准，片中不仅记述了近年来许多考古的新发现和新观点，而且融入了当今人们对历史的重新审视和思考。

　　1980年，日本的NHK电视台向中央电视台发出探索丝绸之路的邀请，NHK因而成为第一家进入中国西部腹地进行纪录片拍摄的境外媒体。当时中日合拍的《丝绸之路》曾在国内外引起很大反响。

　　26年间，当各大电视媒体的镜头一次次横扫丝绸之路上的神秘，当现代人的足迹已将其中几处踩踏为旅游热线，日本NHK再次邀请中央电视台，中日再次联手踏上丝绸之路。

分集介绍

【序篇】

　　本集梳理了“丝绸之路”的地理与文化概念，作为一条线索，串连起10个重要的地点。旨在为观众提供一个总体的概念。

【生与死的楼兰】

　　在古代楼兰王国所地处的沙漠腹地，出土了一具具保存完好的古人的干尸，其中令人们惊叹不已的是被称之为“小河公主”的“楼兰美女”。这些古代居民生存在什么年代？他们从哪里来？以怎样的方式生活着？为何突然消失？一系列疑问与假设成为了本集的重要内容。

【吐鲁番的记忆】

　　不同的种族和不同的文化曾经在吐鲁番和睦相处，宗教艺术曾经在这里留下了惊世杰作，这种文化现象是珍贵的世界遗产。尽管我们可以用影像还原昔日的绚丽，但是对吐鲁番来说，巨大的遗憾却是无法弥补的。

【草原石头祭】

　　辽阔的草原一直是北方游牧民族生产和生活的依靠。它一方面养育了一代又一代的草原子民，但另一方却又不可避免的限制和影响了游牧民族生产力和生产方式的改进与发展。游牧还是定居？也许是草原民族心头上一块永远无法搬走的石头。

【一个人的龟兹】

　　在丝绸之路上曾经有许多僧侣为了信仰舍生忘死，鸠摩罗什是佛教文化东传史上最杰出的人物之一。在龟兹的时空中，功名与寂寞、宏大与渺小如同高山与石子悄然转换。

【和田寻宝】

　　一幅带有玉般微笑的东方美女壁画，引领摄制组进入沙漠腹地——丹丹乌里克，那里曾经是古代于阗国的中心。地处素有玉石王国之称的和田的中心，它是否埋藏着玉石宝藏？在丝绸之路上，东西方价值观的差异体现在和田。

【敦煌生命】

　　莫高窟有一千六百年的历史，是举世闻名的佛教圣地。其中上万平米精美的古代壁画、彩塑，成为人类珍贵的文化遗产，更是今日敦煌的骄傲。然而，那些壁画却发生着各种病变，一步步走向死亡。如何能够让这些古代壁画长存于世，关系到敦煌的文化生命是否能够延续下去。

【青海之路】

　　当北方丝绸之路在4－5世纪陷于阻塞的时候，东西方的经济贸易是通过什么途径接触的呢？从青海出土的大量丝绸成为“青海之路”的有力证据，丝绸之路的线路图也许需要重新绘制。

【探访黑水城】

　　由于丝路重镇黑水城的绝大多数文物文献流失国外，致使这个城市的信息在非常长的时间里沉寂在博物馆幽暗的库房中。当史金波教授破译了西夏草体文字后，黑水城仿佛复活。

【十字路口上的喀什】

　　喀什自古以来都是丝绸之路上重要的补给城市。地处于中国版图的最西端，它素有丝绸之路“十字路口”的称号。在这里至今仍然保留着很多丝绸之路兴盛时期的建筑和文化。如今的喀什已经成为中国西部边疆重要的开放口岸。如果说从前的喀什为过往的商人们提供了生命的保障，那么今天的喀什则承载起了新丝绸之路复兴的希望。

【永远的长安】

　　唐代的中国拥有巨大的财富，京都长安是当时世界上最大的城市，也是丝绸之路的起点。由于中国文化的巨大包容性，这个城市在280多年的时间里，以大国的情怀接纳并融合了来自异域的多种文化和不同人群。

Bruce joins a brigade of Nenet reindeer herders on the remote Yamal Peninsula in Northern Siberia, for their annual winter migration. The brigades follow their vast herds of reindeer (8,000 animals) south as winter pushes down the peninsula. There is a timeless beauty to this bi-annual movement of people. The Nenets live entirely off their reindeers, moving their skin tents every other night as the herds move to new pastures. For more than a month, Bruce wore reindeer skin clothes, ate reindeer meat and drank reindeer blood. In one of his toughest expeditions yet, Bruce and a small team lived with a Nenet brigade for around six weeks, eating and travelling as they did. The brigades travel over 400km in the permanent twilight of the Arctic Autumn. Temperatures reach 40 degrees Centigrade below and blizzards scour the landscape.

This edition of Biography, the long running documentary series from A&E, explores the life of South African statesman, president Nelson Mandela. In 1960, he organized a paramilitary group to engage in guerrilla warfare against the apartheid government. Although acquitted of treason in 1961, he was subsequently convicted of sabotage and sentenced to life in prison in 1964. Continuing to be a potent symbol in the fight against apartheid, Mandela motivated an international campaign for his release during the 1980s. He was eventually released from prison in 1990, after President F.W. de Klerk lifted a ban on the ANC, removed restrictions on political groups, and suspended executions. In 1991, Mandela was elected president of the African National Congress. He then led the ANC in its pivotal negotiations with President de Klerk for an end to apartheid and the establishment of a multi-racial government. Mandela and de Klerk were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for peace in 1993.
