　Episodes One

Jem Stansfield makes a diamond and proves they do not last forever, Dr Yan Wong explains the science behind popcorn, and Dallas Campbell meets the team hoping to create a cure for cancer. Also presented by Liz Bonnin.

　Episodes Two

Liz Bonnin takes to the beach with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to experience the power of rip currents, and Dr Yan Wong demonstrates evolution by drawing a couple of lines. Jem Stansfield returns to the workshop to turn scrap metal into gold.

　Episodes Three

Jem Stansfield witnesses the power of rockets as she spends time with the team working on the Bloodhound land-speed record project. Dr Yan Wong re-creates an ancient Greek experiment to measure Earth's circumference with two sticks, and Dallas Campbell goes in search of a robot he can call his own.

　Episodes Four

Liz Bonnin investigates new stem cell research that could potentially change organ transplant surgery. Dr Yan Wong tests the nocebo effect - which works on the opposite principles to the placebo - and Dallas Campbell visits a memory boot camp to find out how his powers of recollection can be improved.

Liz Bonnin investigates the habits of an unwelcome guest in some homes - the bedbug. Dr Yan Wong explains why statistics sometimes cannot be trusted, and Dallas Campbell goes stargazing in California. With Jem Stansfield.

Dallas Campbell investigates the causes of tooth decay and gum disease, and Dr Yan Wong explains the issues that can arise when foods are re-frozen. Jem Stansfield looks at new research that suggests electric lights can affect people's sleep. With Liz Bonnin.

Dallas Campbell investigates a potential global shortage of helium, Dr Yan Wong tests shoppers' knowledge of radiation and Liz Bonnin tries out new airport security technology that is capable of seeing through clothing.

The team investigates the production of nuclear power, inspired by the radiation scare that followed when Fukushima power station was damaged during the earthquakes that devastated Japan in March. Jem Stansfield climbs into a reaction chamber to discover how power is generated, while Dallas Campbell takes a look at how to clean up nuclear waste. Finally, Liz Bonnin details the effects of radiation on the human body. Last in the series.
